Demetrius Williams, Charged With Attempted Murder Of A Chicago Officer, To Appear In Court
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man charged with attempted murder of a police officer in East Chatham will be in court for the first tie Saturday.
Demetrius Williams, 25, is now charged with attempted first degree murder following his arrest at the scene.
Police say he walked out of a store near 83rd and Cottage Grove around 2 a.m. Friday and opened fire on officers. They returned fire, but no one was hurt.
