DeKalb County School Supt. Has To Live Off Wife's Income
SYCAMORE, Ill. (CBS) -- The DeKalb County Regional Superintendent of Schools admits it's challenging not receiving a paycheck from the state, but says he's holding out hope that Gov. Pat Quinn will put back the money he removed.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Mary Frances Bragiel reports, Gil Morrison says he's currently living off of his wife's salary.

"This next pay period, which is (Friday), we're going to pay whatever bills we can, and see where it goes from there," he said.
In addition new teachers, bus drivers, students and unoccupied buildings could also be in jeopardy with the elimination of $11 million that was slated for the state's 44 regional offices of education.
Quinn decided it would be up to local communities to bear the financial burden.
Supt. Morrison says most, regional school superintendents, on average, make about $93,000 annually.
Right now, they are hoping the governor reconsiders his decision.
