THE DEFENSE

Q: How did you acquire the car?

A: I had two cars before this one. I had a green Pontiac Grand Prix and a Honda Civic. My parents paid for my very first car. I was 17 at the time. While I've liked every single car I've ever had, I normally get bored of them after a year and a half. So I post my car up on Craigslist, sell it, and then I take the money that I make off that car and buy another one. I know that sounds kind of crazy, but I just can't stand to drive a car for too long.

Q: What attracted you to this car?

A: I really like the fact that it's a sports car. Something about sports cars really do it for me. I like driving fast, but it sucks on gas. As of lately I've slowed it down, so I can conserve on gas. I also like the fact that it is black on black. Black on the outside, black on the inside.

Q: What's the furthest place you've driven to in this car?

A: Probably Michigan City, Indiana. There's an outlet mall out there called Lighthouse Mall. I drive up there about twice a month to buy gym shoes and jeans. Other than that, I really don't go anywhere far. I'm not really into road tripping. I just can't stand to stay in a car for too long. Mainly I just drive it to the usual places like work, school, running errands, and hanging out with friends.

Q: What type of music do you listen to in your car?

A: Mostly hip-hop and rap. I normally listen to Rick Ross. He has great driving music. Whenever you play his music, you just feel like you're in a Maybach, and the road is yours. I normally listen to him when I want to drive fast. I also listen to Wiz Khalifah, Lil Wayne, and Drake.

Q: Do you ever pump it up and sing along when you're driving?

A: I don't really do that. At the most I just bob my head along to the beat. Sometimes I rap along, but mainly I just listen. I'm really a laid back person, so I don't get really hyped when I'm listening to music. But just because I'm not all over the place, doesn't mean I'm not enjoying myself.

Q: How would you describe your driving style?

A: It's dependent on where I have to go and what type of mood I'm in. If I'm running late, or feeling impatient or cocky, I will drive aggressively. But if I'm not in a real hurry, or just feel like enjoying the scenery, I'm more of a laid back driver.

Q: What do you think your next car will realistically be?

A: Probably something new. Maybe a Dodge Charger or a Chrysler 300. I really like those cars because they give you plenty of room, but they drive like a sports car. This is great because it will satisfy my need for speed, without having to be trapped in a two-door vehicle.

Q: Finally, if you could have any car in the world, sky's the limit, what would it be?

A: A Bentley coupe or a Maybach. Most people, when they get some money, go out and buy a Mercedes or a BMW, which is cool because they are nice cars. But to be honest, I see so many of them on the road that they really don't carry the same status they once did--at least to me. So when I'm finally making some really good money, I want to buy a car that will make me stand out. If you roll up to a stoplight in a Bentley or a Maybach, people stop what they are doing and stare. They can't help it. How often do you see one? But if I'm in a Mercedes or an Audi or something, people probably won't even look twice because they see one every day.
