Dead Wife's Father, Sisters Testify In Vaughn Case
JOLIET, Ill. (AP) — The Joliet trial of an Illinois man accused of killing his wife and three children has continued with testimony from the woman's father and sister.
Christopher Vaughn is charged with first-degree murder in the 2007 shooting deaths of wife Kimberly Vaughn and their children, ages 12, 11 and 8. At his Will County trial on Tuesday his late wife's father testified that he saw his son-in-law three days before his daughter and her children were found shot to death in an SUV near Channahon. Del Phillips told jurors Christopher Vaughn walked by "stone-faced" without saying goodbye like he usually did.
Elizabeth Isemann became tearful and she described Kimberly Vaughn as her "best friend." Vaughn's twin sister, Susan Jennifer Ledbetter, also testified.
