De Aza Starting In CF As Sox Make Trade
(CBS) After being pulled out of last night's Triple-A game in Charlotte, outfielder Alejandro De Aza has surfaced in the White Sox locker room and will start in center field this afternoon against the Detroit Tigers.
De Aza replaces Mark Teahen on the active roster after the third baseman and pitcher Edwin Jackson were sent to Toronto in a trade for reliever Jason Frasor and minor league pitcher Zach Stewart.
General Manager Kenny Williams said De Aza will replace Alex Rios in center field for the time being.
