Wanny's Back: Former Bears Coach Buys Gold Coast Condo
(CBS) Dave Wannstedt is back in Chicago.
The former Bears head coach bought a Gold Coast condo in May for $930,000, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Wannstedt has kept ties with Chicago since he was fired in 1999. Two of his daughters still live in the city. According to the report, that was a big reason why he and his wife decided to return to Chicago.
The Tribune report describes the condo as a 16th-floor unit with "2 1/2 baths, floor-to-ceiling windows, a private veranda, a surround sound system, four mounted TVs, designer lighting, dark wood floors, a den, glass French doors and a kitchen with white cabinets, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Thermador and Viking appliances and white marble counters"
Cubs outfielder Alfonso Soriano, former Blackhawks goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin and former Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner also live in the same Gold Coast building.
Wannstedt is currently the defensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills.
