Danks Throws 5 Scoreless Innings, Sox Dominate Dodgers
John Danks didn't allow the Dodgers to score while he was on the mound Sunday. Los Angeles was only able to score one run in the seventh inning while the Sox kept the runs coming.
John Danks pitched five scoreless innings, Omar Vizquel hit a two-run homer and the Chicago White Sox beat a Los Angeles Dodgers split-squad 6-1 on Sunday.
Danks allowed just one hit, struck out two and walked three in the longest outing for a White Sox pitcher this spring.
Dodgers closer Jonathon Broxton, who struggled late last season, tossed a scoreless inning in his first appearance since he was shelled Thursday in a loss to the San Diego Padres.
Vizquel went deep and Lastings Milledge had a sacrifice fly in Chicago's three-run fourth inning.
