Cutler To Headline Walk To Cure Diabetes
SANTA CLAUS, Ind. (CBS) -- Bears quarterback Jay Cutler will be back in his hometown of Santa Claus, Ind., next month, to raise money for a walk to cure diabetes.
The Holiday Walk to Cure Diabetes is set for May 14 at the Holiday World Theme Park, and Cutler will be the headliner, according to the blog Behind the Thrills.
Cutler was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 21. He is set to lead an estimated 2,000 people in the walk, the blog said.
The walk honors the memory of Will Koch, the president of the amusement park, who died last year of complications from diabetes.
Cutler will also headline a charity event in the town to raise money for his charity, the Jay Cutler Foundation, the blog said. Grammy Award-winning musician David Nail will perform a concert at the event, the blog said.
