Cubs Set Lineup With Austin Jackson In, Kyle Schwarber Out
By Chris Emma--
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (CBS) -- Looking to even the NLDS at one game apiece, Cubs manager Joe Maddon is playing the matchups in Game 2 as his team faces Cardinals lefty Jaime Garcia.
Slugger Kyle Schwarber is out of the lineup, with Austin Jackson playing left field and batting sixth Saturday. Jorge Soler gets his first start of the postseason, batting second and playing right field. Schwarber hit just .143 and compiled a .481 OPS against left-handed pitching this season.
Additionally, Miguel Montero is behind the plate and batting seventh, with Kyle Hendricks starting on the mound and hitting eighth. The Cubs have limited at-bats against Garcia -- Starlin Castro has the most experience, with a 4-for-13 mark -- but Montero is 2-for-2 with a home run against the lefty.
