Cubs Recall Jeff Stevens From Triple-A Iowa
The Chicago Cubs have recalled right-hander Jeff Stevens from Triple-A Iowa as well as placing Andrew Cashner and Randy Wells on the disabled list, the team announced on Friday.
Stevens has accrued 30.1 innings pitched, for the Cubs, over the last two seasons and has a 1-0 record with a 6.53 ERA (22 ER in 30.1 IP).
Stevens will wear uniform number 44 and will be available for the Cubs' game, tonight, against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Cashner was placed on the DL, retroactive to April 6, with a right rotator cuff strain, and Wells, retroactive to April 5, was placed on the DL with a right forearm strain.
