Cubs Looking At Closing Streets Around Wrigley Field On Game Days
(CBS) There are some big changes in store when Cubs fans return to Wrigley Field in the spring, reports WBBM's Mike Krauser.
Cubs president of business operations Crane Kenney said fans are going to have deal with the reality of the world today.
"A few years ago the thing that kept me awake at night was the quality of the steel in our building and falling concrete," Kenney said. "The thing that keeps me awake today is what's going on in sort of an international and national sense on the security side."

Kenney spoke with 670 The Score from the Cubs Convention on Saturday.
"This year we will be bringing magnetometers to Wrigley Field for the first time," he said. "We have to face into the fact that ballparks and stadiums in general are targets for a lot of things."
Aside from metal detectors, Kenney said they are working with the city to extend a security perimeter around the ballpark 100 feet in each direction during games. He notes in places on Addison, Wrigley Field is just six feet from traffic.
Kenney says that would involve re-routing traffic but not necessarily bus traffic.
