Cubs' Javier Baez Could Miss The Rest Of The Season Due To Thumb Fracture
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Cubs all-star shortstop Javier Baez has a hairline fracture in his left thumb, an MRI revealed Saturday.
It'a a potentially crushing blow to the Cubs' hopes of a deep playoff run or maybe even making the postseason.
Baez will see the team's hand specialist Monday to determine exactly how long he'll be out, but it certainly doesn't look good, at least for the regular season.
