CTA To Provide Extra Service For Magnificent Mile Festival Of Lights
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The CTA will provide Saturday additional bus and train service for the 2016 Magnificent Mile Festival of Lights.
The Blue, Brown, Orange and Pink Line trains will operate longer trains from approximately 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Red Line will run more frequently from approximately 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Several buses will temporarily be rerouted due to street closures for the festival including:
- No. 3 King Drive
- No. 4 Cottage Grove
- No. 6 Jackson Park Express
- No. 22 Clark
- No. 36 Broadway
- No. 66 Chicago
- No. 70 Division
- No. 146 Inner Dr./Michigan Express
- No. 147 Outer Drive Express
- No. 151 Sheridan
The CTA recommends that passengers purchase fares early to avoid long lines at rail station vending machines and to decrease travel times.
