CTA Driver Burned In Coffee Attack
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A CTA bus driver is recovering from burns after a bizarre attack by a passenger overnight.
A rider hopped on a bus at the CTA service terminal in Jefferson Park, 4917 N. Milwaukee Ave. on the Northwest Side.
The suspect accused the driver of not stopping to pick him up and then allegedly tossed hot coffee in the driver's face.
The driver is being treated at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood for burns.
The suspect is in custody and charges are expected.
