CTA Construction To Cause Weekend Delays
CHICAGO (STMW) - Late-night CTA riders should allow extra travel time if taking the Red Line through the River North neighborhood, as construction is expected to cause minor delays this weekend.
Red Line trains in both directions will operate on the same track between the Clark/Division and the Fullerton stations from 11 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday, according to the CTA's website. The work will continue at the same time the following night, ending early Monday.
The first night, passengers must board and exit all trains on the Howard-bound side of the platform at the North/Clybourn station, the CTA said. The second night, passengers must board and exit all trains on the 95th Street-bound side of the platform.
The changes are in effect because station improvements are being done at the station.
The CTA advises passengers to allow extra travel time.
