CTA Construction Means More Delays, Station Closings
CHICAGO (WBBM) - Construction work means delays and station closings for CTA 'L' riders in the Loop and at one north side Red Line station.
The Washington/Wells, Quincy/Wells and Harold Washington Library stops are closed this weekend as Loop track renewal continues.
Orange and Brown Line trains are running through to each other's terminals, trains running through between Kimball and Midway Airport. Pink Line trains are being turned at the Roosevelt Road Green Line station for the trip back to 54th/Cermak.

Service in the Loop returns to normal Monday morning.
That's not the case at the Granville Red Line station, which is closed for six weeks of rehabilitation. It's the first of seven north side Red Line stations that will undergo work this summer as part of an $86 million stop-gap program.
Most of the stations are more than 90 years old, although the Granville station was rehabbed last in 1980, when a new station house was built, including an elevator. The repairs are supposed to last until plans are finalized for total reconstruction of the north side Red Line.
