CHICAGO (CBS) — A person was seriously injured in a stabbing Wednesday morning on a CTA bus in the Chatham neighborhood.

CTA officials received a disturbance call just before 9:30 a.m. on board a westbound No. 79 bus at 79th Street, near the entrance to the Red Line station along the Dan Ryan Expressway.

Police said two men got into an argument on the bus, when one of them pulled out a knife and stabbed the other man. A 22-year-old man suffered a laceration to his lower back, and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition.

No one was in custody Wednesday afternoon.

Area 2 detectives were investigating.
