CTA Blue Line Delays Due To Track Issue Near Rosemont
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Blue Line service was experiencing major delays due to a "track condition" near Rosemont.
As a result, trains were operating in two sections: between O'Hare and Rosemont and between Rosemont and Forest Park, the CTA said.
Riders were reporting that trains are so full that they are bypassing stations.
The problem was reported at 7:15 a.m., CTA spokesman Steve Mayberry said. Trains are only operating between O'Hare and Rosemont, and between Rosemont and Forest Park. Passengers are forced to switch trains at the Rosemont station.
Shuttle buses were available to provide connecting service between Rosemont and O'Hare.
The CTA says it system was operating normally as of 11:20 a.m.
