Among those eager to get their hands on the iPhone 4s was Will, who for the last two months has been without a smart phone.
"I actually had an iPhone, and it broke, and so I was like, 'You know what? I'll wait for the new one to come out. So that was like two months ago, so I just decided to finally be back, reunited with Apple," he said.
Paran was among the first to emerge from the store with the coveted product – at record speed.
"Seven minutes. That's awesome. You can't get a hamburger in 7 minutes, but you can get an iPhone," he said.
Apple will not say how many iPhones it has in stock its store at 679 N. Michigan Ave., but placed a limit of two per customer.
