Crest Hill Fire Set To Cover Up Murder, Police Say
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Crest Hill police say a house fire last weekend was set to cover up a murder.
In the ruins of the burned home on Caton Farm Road, firefighters found the body of 89-year-old Dorothy Dumyahn, a widowed mother and grandmother.
The Will County coroner says an autopsy concluded she didn't die in the fire but apparently had been killed before that.
Pathologists are waiting for further test results before ruling just how she died.
The Crest Hill police chief says it's a very active investigation and was not a random attack.
