Crawford Out 'About 3 Weeks' With Lower-Body Injury
(CBS) Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville said Tuesday goaltender Corey Crawford is expected to miss "about three weeks" with a lower-body injury.
Crawford left the team's game on Sunday in the first period after sustaining the injury.
Quenneville initially said he didn't think the injury was serious, but cautioned "when it's a goalie it's a little more serious than other players."
Replacing Crawford will be 24-year-old backup goalie Antti Raanta.
Kent Simpson, who was recently recalled from Rockford, will back up Raanta.
