Crash Shuts Down Stevenson At Des Plaines River Bridge
HODGKINS, Ill. (CBS) -- The outbound Stevenson Expressway was shut down Thursday morning near the Des Plaines River bridge, after a vehicle rolled over and caught fire.
WBBM Newsradio Traffic reports the crash happened near the Des Plaines River bridge sometime during the mid-morning hours, and all outbound traffic was blocked at the scene.
By 10:49 a.m., the right lane and shoulder were back open.
In the wake of the accident, the outbound Stevenson was jam packed from 1st Avenue to the bridge. A gapers block also snagged the inbound side.
There were no details available on injuries in the crash.
