Crash Involving Car, Semi Snags I-55
BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (CBS) -- Interstate 55 was snagged as the morning rush began Monday, after a predawn crash left a semi-trailer truck on its side and a car demolished.
As late as the 6 a.m. hour, both vehicles remained at the scene on northbound I-55 at Weber Road.
CBS 2's Kris Habermehl reports the semi was being dragged into a nearby parking lot by a heavy wrecker as of 6:45 a.m., and the damaged car was also eventually hauled away.
But northbound I-55 was stop and go from Illinois Route 126 to Weber Road.
Information about injuries in the crash was not immediately available.
