Crash Briefly Shuts Down Outbound Eisenhower Expressway
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A four-vehicle crash shut down all the driving lanes on the outbound Eisenhower Expressway in Maywood early Thursday.
As CBS 2's Kris Habermehl reports, the crash near 25th Avenue closed the three lanes of the outbound Eisenhower and caused major traffic jams for early-morning reverse commuters.
By 6 a.m., the vehicles involved in the crash were off to the right shoulder, but major backups continued from 25th Avenue all the way back to Central Avenue on Chicago's West Side.
Traffic also slowed on the inbound Eisenhower, as gapers slowed down to look at what happened.
