Crain: White Sox Starters Among Tops In AL
Just three games into the season, and it's the Chicago White Sox offense that's stealing most of the attention, but that's not due to under-performing starting pitching.
The starting pitchers, so far, have yielded only eight runs over their first 18 innings pitched, and things will likely improve as the season progresses.
"I think we have one of the best, if not the best starting rotation in the American League," the White Sox's Jesse Crain said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "These guys can pitch. The way [John] Danks went out there the other day, he threw unbelievable. He was unlucky getting the loss and throwing that one bad pitch to give up a home run, but he threw unbelievable, probably of the best three starts [this season]. And then Edwin [Jackson] going six innings."

Danks, Jackson and Gavin Floyd, to go along with Mark Buehrle, present a daunting rotation for opposing lineups.
"The stuff they have is unbelievable," Crain said. "Obviously Buehrle, he does amazing things with the way he can keep hitters off balance. I'm looking forward to seeing Gavin. I think he's one of the guys that has one of the better stuff on the staff, and when he's on, he's pretty unhittable."
