Craig Robinson, President's Brother-In-Law, Fired At Oregon State

(CBS) Oregon State coach Craig Robinson, the brother-in-law of President Barack Obama, has been fired, according to multiple reports.

Robinson was ousted after six season with the Beavers, going 93-104 during that span.

More from CBSSports.com's Gary Parrish:

The development ...comes six weeks after OSU's final game. That makes the timing of this decision highly unusual and curious.

Robinson, best known for being the brother-in-law of President Barack Obama, spent six seasons at Oregon State, where he went 93-104 without making an NCAA Tournament. He had three years left on his contract. OSU still reportedly owes him more than $4 million.

Evidence that the decision is a surprise is rooted in the facts that Robinson and his staff were out recruiting as they normally would as recently as last week, and that Maryland transfer Nick Faust committed to the Beavers just five days ago.
