CPS Students To Win Spots In City College Classes
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two months from now, more than 2,000 Chicago Public high school students will have the opportunity of a lifetime.
As WBBM Newsradio's Felicia Middlebrooks reports, the students will get to take classes at City Colleges free of charge. The Chicago Sun-Times reports the program has been in place for the past few years at the city's seven community colleges.

One hundred juniors and seniors will be accepted at each city college, but there are academic requirements.
To qualify, students must have a 2.5 grade point average, 90 percent attendance and score of 19 in reading on the ACT or 21 in math, the Sun-Times reported.
Class credits can be transferred to the college of their choice.
