CHICAGO (WBBM/CBS) -- Bus service for Chicago Public Schools students will resume Monday, but officials are preparing for hiccups.

The effort began Friday, and Chicago Public Schools Deputy Chief Operating Officer Ryan Solchenberger said vendors hope to cover each school's routes.
At the schools themselves, School board Deputy Chief Operating Officer Ryan Solchenberger says snow removal has been underway, with staff and volunteers clearing stairs, walkways and playgrounds where possible. He said that special attention was being given to schools that have a high proportion of special education students and students with disabilities.
Solchenberger says where buses don't show up Monday, students or their parents should call the school for updated information.
