Coyote Spotted Running Down State Street
CHICAGO (CBS) - A coyote was spotted running wild down State Street downtown overnight.
The coyote was spotted by a freelance videographer as it ran from Lake Street all the way to the South Loop, before taking a turn east toward the lakefront.
So far, the city Commission on Animal Care and Control had not captured the coyote.
The State of Illinois has at least two coyotes that are allowed to run wild in Chicago. Those two coyotes have been tagged with a GPS system, and roam the city as part of a rodent-control program.
It is not clear if the coyote spotted on State Street is among the ones outfitted with a GPS system.
