Couples Complain Artwork Will Disrupt Their Wedding Plans
CHICAGO (WBBM/CBS) -- Some brides are finding the wedding they envisioned altered by a rainbow.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Regine Schlesinger reports, a temporary art exhibit titled "Restless Rainbow" is on display this summer on the Bluhm Family Terrace as the Art Institute's Modern Wing.

While art lovers are excited about the 18-foot-tall vinyl strips designed by artist Pae White and described by the museum as "a riot of color," some people who booked the terrace for their weddings are not thrilled.
Gabrielle Burger told the Chicago Tribune she had envisioned lush gardens and the city's skyline as the backdrop for here ceremony when she plunked down thousands of dollars to rent the terrace.
But now, "Restless Rainbow" is blocking all that out.
Even though they understood the risks when they booked the space, some couples are filing a formal complaint with the Art Institute, the Tribune reported. Some visitors are none too sympathetic.
Visitor Keke Keukelaar told the Tribune that people who choose to get married in an art museum shouldn't be worried about "whether it matches your dress or not."
The Art Institute says the piece references her interests in textiles, graphic design and animation, and provides an answer to the question, "What would it look like if a rainbow fell from the sky?"
