Couple Takes Cash From Donation Cup At Gas Station
LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. (STMW) - A couple that went to a Libertyville gas station last week to buy cigarettes took money from the station's Muscular Dystrophy donation container, as well, police said.
A $20 bill was stolen from a Muscular Dystrophy charity container at the Marathon gas station, 704 N. Milwaukee Ave., last week by a couple purchasing cigarettes, police said.
The attendant told police a man and a woman asked to purchase a pack of cigarettes and the woman handed him a $20 bill. After they left, he noticed the $20 missing from the charity container. The couple were in their early 20s and driving a burgundy Buick Century, police said.
