Could The Bears Draft Multiple Offensive Linemen?
The Chicago Bears desperately need help along the offensive line if they want to pick up where they left off last season. But don't be surprised if the team goes after more than one player to bolster that group.
"They've been out doing their homework on a lot of guys," Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Tribune, said on the Danny Mac Show. "The guy I found out about [on Monday] is Jason Pinkston, who started the last couple years at left tackle for [Dave Wannstedt] at Pittsburgh. There's no way he can play left tackle in the league. A lot of people think he's a guard, he might be able to play a little bit of right tackle. If you look at him, he's maybe a fourth rounder, maybe a sixth rounder."

With a player like Pinkston being available towards the end of the draft, the Bears could potentially use their first round pick on a more talented player, someone like Nate Solder, Anthony Castonzo, Gabe Carimi or Mike Pouncey.
If one of those players is still available at pick No. 29.
"Mike Tice...is getting out and looking at the top guys," Biggs said. "He was obviously down with Pouncey at the pro day down there. But he's also looking at guys, kind of in the back end of the draft. I don't think anyone would be surprised if the Bears targeted multiple offensive lineman in this draft, considering their needs. You get a guy who you think has possible, you know, elite blue-chip level [talent], a guy who can come in and start right away. And then you get a guy, who is another young guy, who maybe Tice has an opportunity to develop. Because of all those developmental guys you have up there right now, how many of them are really going to pan out for you? It's hard to say."
Jay Cutler was sacked more times in the 2010 season than he was during the first three years of his career, combined. And now it's clear that former first-round pick Chris Williams no longer has a career as an left tackle.
"They need help," Biggs said. "They need a lot of it, and I expect them to draft multiple linemen."
