Could NBA's Age Limit Increase To 20?
(CBS) The one-and-done rule that stipulates players must be at least 19 years old and one year removed from high school to enter the NBA Draft has long been a topic of discussion. Now, with new NBA commissioner Adam Silver calling the shots after the retirement of David Stern last week, it may be up for debate again.
Silver has made increasing the age limit from to 20 a priority, according to NBA.com writer Scott Howard-Cooper.

The one-and-done rule was implemented before the 2006 draft. Prior to then, players were allowed to go straight from high school to the pro ranks. With the influx of talented college freshmen this season -- such as Kansas' Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid, Duke's Jabari Parker and Kentucky's Julius Randle -- some have argued that the one-and-done rule is a disservice to the elite players. Others contend that too many unprepared players declare for the draft and that creating a culture in which (sometimes immature) teenagers become millionaires isn't a good idea.
Whatever the case, the age limit would have to be agreed upon between the league and the players' association.
