Cops Hang Out On Dunkin' Donuts Rooftops To Help Special Olympics
WHEATON, Ill. (CBS) -- If you're headed for a Dunkin' Donuts on Friday, you might want to look up to the rooftop, where police officers all over the state will be staking out.
As WBBM Newsradio's Dave Berner reports, the cops are on the rooftops as part of an annual fundraiser for the Law Enforcement Torch Run and Special Olympics.

Now, we all know the old joke about cops and doughnuts. But the officers participating Friday morning didn't seem to mind.
"I know what the benefits are with Special Olympics," said retired Cook County Sheriff's police officer Jim Meyer. "I personally don't eat doughnuts."
DuPage County State's Attorney Bob Berlin is also participating.
"These are kids with intellectual disabilities that otherwise wouldn't have a chance to compete, especially at this level," he said.
If you go make a donation, it goes directly to the Special Olympics, and you can get yourself a free doughnut.
