Cops: 18-Year-Old Fatally Shot On South Side Street
CHICAGO (STMW) -- An 18-year-old man was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon in the South Side Woodlawn neighborhood, police said.
The shooting happened at 2:44 p.m. in the 6100 block of South King Drive, police said. The victim was shot in the "stomach" and was dead at the scene, police said, citing preliminary information.
He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office could not confirm the fatality as of 4:15 p.m.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
