Cooper: 'We Just Need A Win'
CHICAGO (WSCR) The Chicago White Sox losing streak has reached seven games. And over the course of this slump, Chicago hasn't been able to score more than four runs in a game.
"When a team is struggling offensively," White Sox pitching coach Don Cooper said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "You need a pitcher to step up there and shut down the other team, hopefully completely. What's going on right now is that we just have not put it together, we haven't put the pitching, the defense and the offense together on a day."

This recent losing streak isn't the single cause of the team's frustration. Earlier in the season it was the pitching staff, specifically the closers, that were letting wins slip away.
"We've seen every single way you can lose a ball game, you know, we've experienced every way," Cooper said. "We've seen it all and it's getting old. We just have to come to the ballpark, keep fighting and try to find a way for us to shake hands at the end of nine innings, or how every many innings it takes. We just need a win."
