Cooper: Crain Could Be Back Saturday
(WSCR) The White Sox could be in for a surprise as they take on the Tigers in Detroit this weekend.
There's a chance the team could welcome back reliever Jesse Crain, who is currently on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder tightness.
"Jesse has a simulated game at 1:45 (Thursday) over at Fenway," pitching coach Don Cooper told The Mully and Hanley Show. "He'll go out there and get a good workout in. We'll see how he feels before, during and after. Then, we'll make an assessment of that. There's an outside chance we could have him back on Saturday or Sunday."

Crain is one of four White Sox pitchers currently on the disabled list, with John Danks, Gavin Floyd and Brian Bruney. Still, Cooper has no intentions of making any additional moves with the pitching staff.
"I don't think about (making) a move," Cooper said. "That's for sure. I don't think about that. I think about, 'OK, we've got (Jose) Quintana today. We've got (Jake) Peavy tomorrow. We've got (Chris) Sale on Saturday. We got (Philip) Humber on Sunday.' That's what I think about. The farthest thing is from my mind is, 'Are we going to bring someone up?' None of that stuff. We have the people that we have, guys. We go to work with them and try to win the ball game. We've done a pretty good job of that so far."
