Cooler, sunny Labor Day in Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) — A Beach Hazard Statement is canceled as the National Weather Service said wave heights continue diminishing. Recent beach reports are improving. As high pressure builds overhead, winds can relax.
There is a Moderate Swim Risk as waves are two to four feet.
It will stay dry and quiet until the end of the week when the next front crosses the Chicago area. Thursday night offers the best chance of rain.
Showers may linger into Friday.
This front will open the door for a much cooler air mass to park overhead for the weekend.
Highs will be in the 60s!
REST OF LABOR DAY: MOSTLY SUNNY & COOL. HIGH 74.
TONIGHT: CLEAR & COOL. LOW 56.
TUESDAY: SUNNY. HIGH 79.
