Conte Doubtful, While Gould, Ratliff Are Questionable For Monday
By Chris Emma-
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (CBS) -- Bears safety Chris Conte is doubtful to play Monday night against the New Orleans Saints as he battles a back injury. Conte was injured in the Chicago's loss to Dallas on Dec. 4.
Kicker Robbie Gould (quad) and defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff (knee) are both questionable to play. Gould missed the Cowboys game, and veteran Jay Feely took his place. It's possible that it will be a one-game stint and Gould will return.
"We'll see where we are and go from there," Chicago coach Marc Trestman said. "We still have some time."
The Bears announced Saturday that linebacker Darryl Sharpton was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. The team activated quarterback David Fales onto the 53-man roster. This was done to prevent the Patriots from signing Fales off the practice squad, according to the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs,
Chicago and New Orleans meet on Monday night at Soldier Field. The Saints are fighting for a playoff spot, and the Bears are eliminated from contention.
