Computer Analyst From Romeoville Faces Child-Porn Charges
JOLIET, Ill. (STMW) -- An IT analyst from southwest suburban Romeoville was charged with aggravated child pornography on Thursday after a two-month investigation by Will County officials.
Jason C. Horton, 33, of the 1600 block of Ashbury Lane is charged with five counts of aggravated child porn — charges that carry a penalty of up to seven years in prison if convicted, a release from the Will County State's Attorney's office said.
Horton was arrested Wednesday at his house following a two-month investigation conducted by the Will County State's Attorney's High Technology Crimes Unit, the Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the FBI and Romeoville and Naperville police.
Horton was taken into custody after a search warrant was served on his house.
Investigators seized three computers during the warrant and the investigation is ongoing, the release said. Horton was ordered held on $400,000 bond Thursday and will appear for a preliminary hearing April 4.
