Cleveland Melvin No Longer Enrolled At DePaul
(CBS) DePaul senior forward Cleveland Melvin is no longer enrolled at the university, the team announced Monday.
Melvin was leading the Blue Demons with 16.7 points per game. He'd previously been suspended for an unspecified violation of team rules and hadn't played since Jan. 20.
Melvin was also among DePaul's all-time leaders in scoring, scoring average, rebounding, field goals, blocked shots and free throws. He played in 110 career games and was the 2011 Big East Rookie of the Year. DePaul is 10-14 and hosts 21-2 Villanova on Wednesday.
