City Worker Attacked While Writing Parking Ticket
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Traffic Management Authority worker was attacked by an angry driver Friday evening after she wrote him a ticket in the River North neighborhood.
The female TMA employee was writing a parking ticket at 118 W. Grand Av. at about 4:50 p.m. Friday when the man approached her and repeatedly punched her in the face, police said. He ran away, but was soon found by a police squad car that had been sent to investigate the attack.
The woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
The driver remained in custody Saturday morning and charges were pending.
