City Considers Deal For Digital Billboards
CHICAGO (CBS) -- You could soon see big digital billboards popping up in your neighborhood.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel wants to allow the outdoor advertising on city land.
However, companies would have to tear down at least five of their current signs to get a digital one.
The multiyear deal could be worth up to $270 million. Alderman would have to approve a billboard in the ward.
The entire city council still needs to vote on the proposal.
