City Clerk Offers Prizes For Buying Vehicle Stickers Online
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago City Clerk Susana Mendoza wants more drivers to buy their city vehicle sticker online rather than by mail.
As WBBM Newsradio's Bob Conway reports, so far, the Chicago Sun-Times says even with this being 2012, only about 103,000 stickers have been sold via the city clerk's Web site.

Last year, only 200,000 of the 1.3 million city stickers were purchased online, the Sun-Times reported.
So to spur online sales, Mendoza's office has set up a contest that drivers can enter, offering several prizes.
The prizes include a two-night stay at the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza at 350 N. Orleans St., a $100 gift certificate to Petterino's restaurant and two tickets to "Crowns" at the neighboring Goodman Theater, a $100 gift certificate to Rockit Bar and Grill, a $50 gift certificate to Dick's Last Resort at 315 N. Dearborn St. and two tickets to a Shoreline Architecture Cruise, and two tickets to a Chicago Fire soccer game, among others, the Sun-Times reported.
A clerk's office spokesman tells the Sun-Times buying a vehicle sticker online is a lot faster and saves money.
The deadline to buy a city sticker is July 15. Stickers cost $85 for small vehicles and $185 for larger ones.
The clerk's office can be found online at ChiCityClerk.com.
