Chris Harris Requests Trade After Getting Benched
(CBS) After a week in which he lost his starting job and was ruled inactive against the Vikings, Bears safety Chris Harris formally requested a trade Monday morning.
Harris' agent, Albert Elias, confirmed on Twitter that the Bears had given him permission to seek a trade for his client.
The safety has an up-and-down year. After missing some time early with a hamstring injury, Harris struggled against the Lions in Week 5 resulting in Lovie Smith naming Chris Conte the starter against the Vikings. Because Harris doesn't contribute to special teams, he was then ruled inactive Sunday night.
