Chinatown Parade Celebrates Lunar New Year
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Thousands of people turned out in the cold this afternoon for the Chinese New Year parade in Chicago's Chinatown, reports WBBM's Nancy Harty.
This New Year's Parade celebrated the year of the sheep, or ram, depending on who you ask.

Some parade-watchers dressed up including one guy who had ram horns on his head.
"I knew that it was going to be the year of the ram and I decided to incorporate them into my outfit today," he said. "I was born in 1991 which was also the year of the ram, so I thought 'Oh, it is going to be my year, I should be more outgoing with my outfit this year.'"
In addition to the traditional dragon and lion dancers, there were plenty of donkeys and even an elephant.
Days before the election, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, one of his challengers Jesus "Chuy" Garcia and Governor Bruce Rauner marched in the parade.
