Girl Sexually Assaulted In Albany Park Thrift Store
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago police were searching for the man who sexually assaulted a girl in an Albany Park thrift store on Monday.
Sources said the attack took place inside Village Discount Outlet thrift store at Lawrence and Spaulding avenues around 7 p.m. Monday.
Police said the attacker grabbed the child and sexually assaulted her, then fled the store. Police had only a vague description of the suspect. He was last seen wearing cargo shorts and a gray shirt with a white circle on it.
Chicago Police were able to grab a photo of the man on the store's surveillance system.
Village Discount Outlet said it was cooperating with police, but would not comment beyond that.
Anyone with information about the assault should call Chicago police.
It wasn't the first time a sexual assault has happened inside a Village Discount store.
In 2003, a man was arrested after admitting to sexually abusing at least eight girls between the ages of 5 and 8. At least three of those attacks happened at a Village Discount Outlet, including the one in Albany Park.
