Girl, 11, on scooter hit by CTA bus on Chicago's South Side
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Chicago Transit Authority bus hit and critically injured an 11-year-old girl who was riding an electric scooter in the South Chicago neighborhood early Monday evening.
The accident happened around 4:41 p.m. when the bus was traveling southbound in the 8400 block of South Commercial Avenue.
The child was rushed to the University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital.
The girl was initially reported in serious condition. It was unclear how the bus came to hit her.
