Child And Adult Treated For Smoke Inhalation During Englewood Fire
CHICAGO (STMW) -- One adult and one child were treated for smoke inhalation after a small fire broke out in a residence in the West Englewood neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
The fire broke out in a home in the 1700 block of West 71st Street sometime before 4:15 p.m., according Fire Media Affairs.
The child and adult – whose ages and genders were not released – were transported to Holy Cross Hospital where they are in good condition, fire officials said.
The fire quickly was extinguished, officials said, though a spokesman for the fire department could not say precisely what time that was at.
