Chicago's Snow Trucks Move To Side Streets
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The city of Chicago had 174 of its snow fighting trucks patrolling Chicago's side streets early Saturday afternoon, as temperatures were expected to drop into the single digits Saturday night.

The Department of Streets and Sanitation deployed 75 snow trucks at 4 a.m. to patrol the city's main streets and another 99 trucks were added at 11 a.m. as light snow was falling across the city.
By early Saturday afternoon, all 174 trucks were switched over to the city's side streets to treat them with salt, in anticipation of single-digit temperatures overnight.
The high temperature on Saturday was forecast to be about 19 degrees and, as of 12:45 p.m., the temperature downtown was 16 degrees. The temperature was expected to drop to a low of 8 degrees overnight.
For Sunday's NFC Championship game between the Bears and Green Bay Packers, temperatures are expected to be in the high-teens with a 40 percent chance of snow showers.
